Soft Tissue Therapy

What is Soft Tissue Therapy?

Ideal for someone who has either acute or chronic pain or injury, Soft Tissue Therapy is a form of deep tissue massage that works with the soft tissue in your body and your nervous system.

Soft tissue in your body includes the fascia, muscles, ligaments and tendons.

Treatment helps to identify and treat the causes of the pain or injury, not just the symptoms, to address the whole body, helping you to recover and regain full function. It also helps to relieve pain and tension that has built up in the body through activities you do in everyday life.

Because we focus on looking on the underlying cause for your pain or injury, the treatment and advice provided will be tailored to you, allowing you to take ownership of your health and wellbeing.

Most importantly, Soft Tissue Therapy feels great and helps you to:

Hurt Less, Move Better, and Live More!

What should you expect?

The focus of the treatment is to find a solution so you experience more than just temporary relief from your pain or injury.

Together, we’ll discuss the answers to these questions:

What hurts?

What do you hope to achieve?

What can you do to help yourself?
What can I do to help you?

Treatment may include a combination of techniques to help to ease your pain, to relax, and to feel more comfortable. It may also include an assessment of how you move, advice on exercise and movement, lifestyle advice, and pain education.

No treatment plan is ever the same. Together, we’ll come up with a plan to help you reach your goals to succeed.

The first treatment is usually 75 or 90 minutes long, and follow-up treatments can be either 60, 75 or 90 minutes.

“My feet were hurting terribly and making it hard to walk sometimes. Heather was very professional and pleasant. We discussed exercises and she emailed the instructions to me. My feet are so much better that I don’t even think about them anymore! I highly recommend Heather’s services”

Lynda, 68

“I tore one of my rotator cuff muscles and experienced acute pain in my shoulder and very limited movement.  My experience with Heather was kinder, more dignified, and more professional than the treatment I received at my local Minor Injuries Unit which left me in tears.  I would highly recommend Heather for her kindness, knowledge and professionalism in the field of Soft Tissue Therapy.”

Julie, 46

“On Valentine’s Day, I took a tumble when out running with Fonzie, my dog, but we are so grateful to Heather for her expertise and support.  A magical combination of the right knowledge, rehab exercises, and massage has meant that for the first time, my ankles feel really strong, and we feel like we can run again!  I’m so very grateful and can’t wait to see how things improve even further!”

Rachel, 37

“My husband, David, had several treatments for lower back pain from Heather.  He left home in great discomfort and returned a new man.  How he wishes we hadn’t moved 365 miles away; otherwise, he would be seeing Heather regularly.  She is amazing!!!!”

Julie on behalf of her husband David, Retired, 66

“Saw Heather today for the first time, and it was a brilliant session!  Consultation was very thorough and Heather was exceptional with her knowledge on why I was having problems in my back. I felt so good just after this first massage session that I wasn’t in any pain and was able to go out for a run!  I highly recommend her for anyone wanting someone knowledgeable and skilled to help with their problems”

Holli, 32

“Heather is amazing at her job and so lovely.  She creates a warm and friendly environment and puts you at ease and listens to your needs.”
